44. Return
to Scene 1. Unlock Layer 1 and click on the picture.
Press Ctrl+C (Copy), lock Layer 1. Select layer 2 and
insert new Layer.
Press Ctrl+Shit+V (Paste in Place) - now new instance
of the "bg" Movie Clip is placed on the new
Layer.
Press F8 (Convert to Symbol) |

Name it as you
like (I' ve named it "radial"), choose Behavior:
Movie Clip, Registration: low right corner.
Lock new Layer. |
| 45. Open the Library
(F11) |
Double-click
on the "radial" Movie Clip icon. |
| Now we
can edit "radial" Movie Clip. |
 |
| 46. Lock
Layer 1and insert new Layer (Layer 2). Zoom in
your Movie Clip. |
| Tip:
for better use of the workspace click on the small triangle
in the Timeline window to minimize it. |

| You can
do the same thing for the Properties window. |
47. Make sure
Snap to Pixels is checked ("View > Snap
to Pixels")
Select Line Tool (or press N), set Stroke style to hairline. |
Draw the line. |
Make sure the
new line is deselected. Select Arrow Tool (or press V).
Place Arrow in the middle of the line (don't select the
line!) |
| When a curve appears next
to the arrow, you can adjust the line. |

| 48. Select the
line, press Ctrl+C (copy). Insert new
Layer (Layer 3) and Paste in Place (Ctrl+Shit+V)
copy of the line in this new Layer. We will use this copy
later to make the Mask. |
| Lock new
Layer 3 and make it invisible |

Return to Layer
2, select the line and press F8. Name
it as you like (I' ve named it "ray1"),
choose Behavior: Movie Clip, Registration: low right corner. |
| Select "Edit
> Edit in Place". |
 |
| Now we are in
"ray1" Movie Clip edit in place mode. |
 |
 |
| 49. Lock
Layer 1, insert new Layer (Layer 2). |
| Move it below Layer 1. |
 |
| In the Library
window find "runner" Movie Clip and drag it
from the Library onto the stage. |
| Adjust the place of the instance
of "runner" to the start of the line. |
 |
| Lock Layer
2, Right click and choose Add Motion Guide. |
 |
| You should see: |

50. Unlock
Layer 1, select the line and press Ctrl+X (Cut).
Select Guide: Layer 2 and press Ctrl+Shift+V(Paste
in Place).
Lock Guide: Layer 2 and delete Layer 1. Insert 30 frames
for Guide: Layer 2.
Select Layer 2, unlock it and and click on first keyframe.
Change Tween to Motion in the Properties window.
Click on frame 30 of Layer 2 and press F6 (insert Keyframe). |
| Drag the instance of "runner"
to the end of the line. |

| Lock
Layer 2 and press Enter (Play). Movie
Clip "runner" follows the line when you play
the animation. |
| 51. Click on "radial"
icon to return to "radial" Movie Clip edit mode. |
 |
Lock Layer 2.
Unlock Layer 3 and make it visible. Select line on the
stage. In the Properties window change hairline to solid
and set Stroke height in accordance to your detail thickness
(in this case 2 pts works well).
Select "Modify > Shape > Convert Lines
to Fills". Lock Layer 3, Right click on
it and choose Mask.
Press Ctrl+Enter (Test Movie). The effect
appears in the radial part of the picture. |
52. Unlock Layer
2, select instance of "ray1" Movie Clip and
choose "Edit > Edit in Place".
Repeat step 38 for "ray1" Movie Clip to improve
the effect. Test your Movie.
Return to "radial" Movie Clip and repeat steps
46-51 for all other place where you wish the effect should
be placed. |
| Tip: if
you have complex details to place the effect use Pensil
Tool with Smooth Pencil Mode instead of Line Tool. |
| When you've finished
your work with "radial" Movie Clip delete Layer
1(where instance of "bg" Movie Clip is placed). |
| Save your fla.
